Cigarette manufacturing is almost by tradition rigorously Top Secret.
But not for Yesmoke: here anyone can visit and see a factory at work, from the treatment of the tobacco to the shipping of the packages.
Yesmoke's manufacturing plant is equipped with the same machines that the giant multinational producers use.

Smuggling, tax evasion: Philip Morris owes, to the Italian State alone, not less than 80 billion dollars

The accounts Yesmoke has been able to examine go back to the 1975 to 1995 period; they were transmitted by the administration of the Italian monopolies (Monopoli Italiani) to the Finance Police (Guardia di Finanza) on May 22, 1995, and they show 60,591 billion old lire of lost fiscal revenues, equal to 37.5 billion dollars. All taxes evaded by Philip Morris, lost income for the Italian State.
The rest, that should bring the total to 80 billion dollars or more, is the fruit of Yesmoke's calculations.

Yesmoke has left Switzerland and moved to Turin, and on the 31st of May, just a few days ago, became Italian. A new high-tech production plant with a capacity of 10 billion cigarettes a year has been under construction for the past eight months and it will be ready to start up next April2007.
“How in the world can you hope to produce cigarettes in a country like this?” the sceptics immediately asked. Italy, in fact, is the "free hunting preserve" of Philip Morris; it's the country where just recently the so-called "Minimum Price" was set for cigarettes.
