Yesmoke came into being on the 1st of January 2000 at Balerna, in the Swiss Alps. Its battles determined the history and the identity of a new cigarette - an «Anti Big Tobacco» cigarette.

The online store was forced to surrender on November 16th 2004, when 200 agents, with a Hollywood-style blitz at New York’s J.F.Kennedy Airport, surrounded the Boeing 767 that was carrying the Swiss mail and confiscated 150 thousand cartons of cigarettes, including all the “Yesmokes”. A blitz like this has never been seen before, wrote the newspapers.

A few days before, on November 12th, Yesmoke had thrown down the gauntlet, starting up the production of its own cigarettes: “Yesmokes made in Switzerland”. The next day, November 13th, when Yesmokes debuted on Internet, fond American customers ordered more Yesmokes than Marlboros. After 30 million cartons of cigarettes, Big Tobacco’s system had fouled up with the first “Yesmoke”.

Philip Morris has continued its “War” against Yesmoke, taking over the Yesmoke brand name in the USA and trying to prevent the registration of the name around the world. But all in vain.

After the blitz in New York, Yesmoke moved from Switzerland to Italy where it has built a model factory identical to the finest production plants of the multinationals. And here it is continuing the production of Yesmokes, the “Anti Big Tobacco” cigarettes.
