"Fare Futuro" – For a Future as Servants
The “tassa minima” — minimum tax — on cigarettes, a product of Gianfranco Fini’s supporters of “Fare Futuro”* is the only tax in the world that is absolutely impossible to pay.
Inventing a fake tax to leave everything just as it was before and not increasing taxes on the multinational tobacco manufacturers is a servile act that goes beyond all limits.
Unfortunately for Italy, the last few decades have produced a political class arrayed in favour of occult forces that wanted a country of servile institutions, politicians who are even prepared to defraud their own people to avoid displeasing the foreigner of the day.
The Government’s comment on the measure shows how we have reached the bottom. “The minimum tax is a adequate compromise between the public interests of the tax revenue service and the commercial needs of the manufacturers”.
It is incredible that it is actually the “Fascists” who have become an essential element in this degeneration. From the local labourers of the CIA for anti-Communist activities after the war, to the bodyguards of the corps of multinationals today, the Fascists have adapted to the changes of time and they, too, have found their road to success.
The forward-looking strategy of Fini, who has transformed the Alleanza Nazionale party into the butler of “plutocratic powers”, should guarantee the advancement of the party and the careers for its men, using the money of the Italian people.
The Heirs of the Duce at Work
Newspapers reported that on the 8th of June, the “Finiani” met in the headquarters of Fare Futuro, where, in the company of some “outside guests”, they laid out the foundations of the new incredible tax.

Alberto Giorgetti
Anyone who has the courage to present a similar measure, is either mad or is a thief. The madman in this case is Alberto Giorgetti, Undersecretary of State for the Economy and Finances, a DOC Fini man responsible for the tobacco sector. A young “lobbyist” placed in the right position.
Giorgetti, in collaboration with his chums of the AAMS (Azienda Autonoma dei Monopoli di Stato - Autonomous Agency of the State Monopolies), worked out and presented the project of this ridiculous tax to the Government; the Government, a band of total incompetents, signed it.
Yesmoke is the only Italian cigarette producer; for over a year, the company tried to contact Alberto Giorgetti in every possible way, by letter, by email, by telephone, but the undersecretary was never reachable and never sent any response.
In fact, the young career fascist was getting ready to spoil the party for Yesmoke, What could he have said?
*”Fare Futuro” is a foundation tied to Gianfranco Fini, leader of Italy’s “post-fascist” party, Alleanza Nazionale.
The Minimum Tax of Fini’s People
The new “minimum tax” invented by the AAMS and by the Onorevole Alberto Giorgetti does not strike anyone except a cigarette producer who might want to lower his prices under the 3.80-euro level of the old minimum price (just abolished by the European Union). He would find himself having to pay a tax that would force him to sell below cost.
However, it is forbidden to sell tobacco products below cost, therefore, no maker can lower his price and so, no one will pay the new tax.
On the other hand, the “minimum excise”, indicated by the European Union, is a tax defined minimum because it cannot go below a determined level, but it applies to all cigarettes. Otherwise it could not be called minimum. Fini’s “minimum tax” neutralises the effect of the EU’s abolition of the minimum price and greatly pleases the foreign multinationals, who, naturally, do not like the idea of an increase of the tax pressure on their products. The “minimum excise” wanted by the European Union would have led to a loss in their profits.
With the “minimum tax”, everything in Italy remains exactly the same as before and Big Tobacco can continue to make millions in profits. Here is how the Honourable Giorgetti explained the “minimum tax” to an audience of total incompetents:
”The measures contained in the amendment, concerning the remodulation of the aliquots of the excises on tobaccos are substantially correspondent to a recently issued law decree, intended to implement the observations formulated by the Court of Justice of the European Union”.
”With the arrangement in question, we avail ourselves of the option, foreseen by the European directive in the matter of excises, based on which it is possible to operate not only on the price of tobacco products, but also on the aliquot of excise. On the other hand, the remodulation of the excise aims at maintaining the invariance of the revenue”.
Giorgetti’s “minimum tax” goes in the opposite direction from the observations formulated by the Court of Justice of the European Union, but he is proud to present it as if it was aimed at implementing the Court’s intentions. “Who cares, no one understands anything anyway”, Onorevole Giorgetti probably thought.
And what could the “invariance of the revenue” be that Giorgetti talks about? It means that what Big Tobacco can steal today does not vary from yesterday. It is not a coincidence that the “minimum tax” is meant to leave everything just like it was before and just pretends to add a tax. Giorgetti’s explanation is insane. And the most distressing thing is that no one has noticed.
