Forbidden in the United States, in the European Union and in most of the third world countries because they favor the brand loyalty of teen-agers, in Italy the half-price, 10-cigarette packs have resisted until today, in spite of the repeated requests of the health authorities - the Istituto Superiore della Sanità - for their abolition.
The initiative of Ignazio Marino is contained in a bill, presented with Antonio Tomassini (PDL center-right), that the Commissione Igiene e Sanità (Hygiene and Health Commission) of the Senate is examining in the deliberation stages. The trial against Italy in the Court of Justice of the European Union is about to end, and to avoid condemnation and sanctions, Italy should conform to the European rules before the sentence.
Starting from today, the yesmoke.eu Internet site has a completely renewed graphic form and is entirely translated into English, including the articles published in the Blog. Our objective is to make our battles and claims more visible, spreading the information to international search engines. The current site has a more “institutional” appearance, but its responsibilities are not changing: it will continue to indicate the corrupt and the servile, with their names and surnames. 

The Italian State Monopoly, a subject that benefited from the “Monophase Value Added Tax” (IVA monofase) tax regime no longer exists. Law no. 76, dated 7 March 1985 is clear and the Revenue Agency of the Piemonte Region clarified any doubts. There is no need for the Direzione Centrale Normativa dell’Agenzia delle Entrate (Central Normative Office of the Revenue Agency) to interpret it: “The law is effective for processed tobaccos destined for sale to the public in the territory subject to monopoly”.
