Yesmoke – Smuggler or Sponsor?
After wandering for years through different prosecutors’ offices, tomorrow , January 21st, a decision will be taken for the committal to trial of Yesmoke’s top executives for cigarette contraband in Italy. But in fact, Yesmoke, with 4 million euro of VAT credit, more than a smuggler, is a sponsor of this country of ass-kissers.
At the end of 2004, Yesmoke, at the time a Swiss firm, was an online tobacco store that sold Marlboros to Americans from Switzerland,
Philip Morris wanted to close the store but could not get the collaboration of the American authorities or those of Switzerland. So, it had the idea of turning to its trusted friends of that country of ass-kissers called Italy to make life hard for those Italian pains in the arse.
The “Sponsorship”: 4 Million of VAT Credit
Unfortunately some of the machines that Yesmoke needed to produce its cigarettes are made in Italy, and Yesmoke purchased them in Italy. A big mistake, because in this way, 4 million euro of VAT credit was stopped in the safes of the State, which is holding on to the money for an indefinite time. The millions will materialize after an unknown number of years, with little more than 1% interest.
Yesmoke, that needed that money, had to turn to the banks; they were happy to lend it - at 13% interest. So Yesmoke, within its capabilities, is financing this country of dickheads and their banking friends with over half a million euro a year only of interest. It has been doing this for years and it will have to continue doing it for many years more.
And as if this were not enough, someone has raised all the obstacles imaginable, starting with the Minimum Price, to keep the new Italian company under the domination of the foreign multinationals - giant corporations that are taking home profits that reach up to 900%, and who pay no taxes in Italy.
To crown it all, why disturb the business of Philip Morris, the greatest smuggler and tax evader in the history of Italy, the owners of the company receive the ritual “avviso di garanzia” (notice of investigation) for contraband and tax evasion.
The Italian State today seems to be a gathering of incompetents, bunglers and petty thieves, with the bad habit of sticking their hands into the pockets of the citizens whenever they feel like it, and with the innate tendency to kiss asses. And Yesmoke S.p.A., more than smuggling, is sponsoring this bunch of cads.
